Brands We’ve Worked With

We started in 2007 as a small, woman-owned business from an adoring home in Mt. Baker. Kids tightly nestled around an oversized table in a cozy kitchen surrounded by sprinkles, flour and all things delicious. We quickly grew from our neighborhood roots to a brick and mortar location in Kirkland where we were able to expand our business model and began attracting larger groups of kids, teens and even adults! From there a fire was lit with the desire to expand yet again! With the goal of inspiring even more kids, teens and adults to step in the kitchen, don an apron and find their creative outlet through food, University Village was born summer 2018!

With a local and intimate footprint and nationwide aspiration, FrogLegs Cooking School offers a hands-on approach to cooking. Our dynamic team brings ingredients to life while inspiring and building confidence in a fun and educational way. Whether celebrating your kiddos fabulous birthday party, tasting the world through one of our many summer camps, sipping rose during our macaron & charcuterie workshop or learning the fine art of paella in one of our many adult classes, or coming together with colleagues for a corporate event, we offer a delectable menu primed for every taste bud.

While at FrogLegs, make sure you take a moment to visit our Treat Mercantile for a festive lineup of party supplies and gifts, as well as scratch baked cookies and safe to eat, not to mention delicious, edible cookie dough in our University Village location.

We welcome you into our home and around our table, pull up a stool and stay a while!

Mrs. FrogLegs

My love and interest in cooking began when I was young and was the assistant cook to my Mom. Out of 4 girls, I was the one who enjoyed being in the kitchen the most.

In college, I worked for a large 4 star hotel and was a prep and line cook for the restaurant and catering department, learning an abundance about the basics of cooking. After college, I worked for Starbucks Coffee Co. and was the gourmet food buyer and product developer where my love and appreciation for quality food and ingredients really grew.

I started my own cookie company, Firefly Fandango in 2002. We created high end decorated cookies & candies, selling to large retailers such as Williams-Sonoma, Crate and Barrel and Marshall Fields. I sold the business in 2007 and began to do some consulting work for Sur La Table where I became a Culinary Instructor and taught classes in their Kirkland store.

I began FrogLegs out of my love for all types of celebrations! I am tickled that children are finding such joy out of cooking and working with their hands and minds!

Great place kids and groups. We had 13 Cub Scouts making Apple pies and catered to allergies even gluten free. Would recommend for a group. All the kids had a great time and got to do all the work themselves.

Super cute! Just stopped by to check it out, and looks like a great place to host a baking party! Teeny tiny shop area but all sorts of things to buy for themed a party.

My 13 year old son has enjoyed his lunchbox crew class. Everything they made was delicious and healthy. The sweet potato gnocchi was our favorite!
